Vol.2 Walking Gotanda and Ikedayama

KELLER WILLIAMS TOKYO WESTの長手祐子です。早いもので今年ももう2月、まだまだ寒い毎日ですが、日照時間が長くなり、春が近づいていることを感じます。
今回歩くのは品川区の「池田山」で、最寄り駅は山手線・都営浅草線・東急池上線の「五反田」駅です。
五反田というと夜の歓楽街のイメージがあるかもしれませんが、桜田通りを挟んで反対側には、「池田山」という品川区随一の高級住宅地が広がるエリアがあります。
「池田山」は岡山藩主池田家の下屋敷跡があった一帯が名前の由来で、現在はその一部が
「池田山公園」として区民の憩いの場になっています。
公園の敷地内は高低差があり、起伏に富んだ景色が楽しみながら回遊する造りとなっています。春には桜、秋には楓が見事で多くの人が訪れ、景色を楽しんでいます。

TOKYO WEST. It's already February this year, and it's still cold every day, but
the days are getting longer, and I feel that spring is approaching.
This time, we will be walking at Ikedayama
in Shinagawa Ward, and the nearest station is Gotanda Station on the Yamanote
Line, Toei Asakusa Line, and Tokyu Ikegami Line.
When you think of Gotanda, you may think of
an entertainment district at night, but on the other side of Sakurada-dori,
there is an area called "Ikedayama," which is the most luxurious
residential area in Shinagawa Ward.
The name "Ikedayama" is derived
from the area where the former residence of the Ikeda family, the lord of the
Okayama domain, used to be located.
As "Ikedayama Park", it has
become a place for residents to relax.
The grounds of the park have differences in
elevation, and are designed so that you can stroll while enjoying the
undulating scenery. Cherry blossoms in spring and maple leaves in autumn are
spectacular, and many people visit to enjoy the scenery.
池田山公園から5分ほど邸宅街を歩くと「ねむの木の庭」にたどり着きます。
また園内には、美智子上皇后にゆかりのある四季折々の花や樹木が植えられ、詠まれた歌の歌碑を鑑賞することができます。
私は訪れた時は寒い日が続いていたので、地面に雪が残っていました。カラフルなストックと白い雪の対比が美しいですね！
If you walk through the residential area
for about 5 minutes from Ikedayama Park, you will reach “Nemunoki no Niwa”
This park is known as the former residence
of the Shoda family, the birthplace of Empress Emerita Michiko.
The name of the garden is said to be
derived from a poem written by Empress Emerita when she was in high school.
In the garden, seasonal flowers and trees
related to Empress Emerita Michiko
are planted, and you can appreciate the
monument of the poem that was composed.
It was a cold day when I visited, so there
was still snow on the ground. The contrast between the colorful stock and the
white snow is beautiful!
さて、朝から歩き疲れてそろそろ休憩したくなってきました。笑
池田山の住宅街のふもとに近づくと、パンの香ばしい香りが漂ってきます。
香りに誘われるように歩くと、朝から賑わっているベーカリーカフェを見つけました！
「Ｂread &Coffee IKEDAYAMA」さんです。
店内には
朝から焼きたてのパンを求める近所の住民や、カフェで淹れたてのコーヒーを楽しむ人たちが沢山！
Well, I was tired from walking in the
morning and wanted to take a break. smile
As you approach the foot of the residential
area of Ikedayama, the fragrant aroma of bread fills the air.
As I walked as if I was invited by the
scent, I found a bakery cafe that was crowded from the morning!
This is "Bread & Coffee
IKEDAYAMA".

There are many local residents who want freshly baked bread from the morning, and many people who enjoy freshly brewed coffee at the cafe!
まだモーニングの時間帯だったので、モーニングセットをオーダーしました。
分厚く切った
コーヒーが席まで運ばれてきて、期待が高まります！
このパン・ド・ミ、はちみつや生クリームを加えていないのに、もっちりとした触感とリッチな甘さで、巷の高級食パンとはまた違った美味しさ！
コーヒーもお店で焙煎した豆を丁寧にハンドドリップして淹れられているので、香りは抜群、しかも少し酸味のある味が私好みでした！
カウンターには、クロワッサンや季節の野菜を使った惣菜パンなど、目移りするほど美味しそうなパンがズラリ。
パン・ド・ミやバゲットの焼き上がりの時間に合わせて来店するお客様も多いのだとか。
私もこの近所に住んでいれば、毎日でも通いつめそうです。
It was still morning time, so I ordered a
morning set.
thick cuttheboard product "Pain de
Mie" is served with plenty of butter and a large mug of coffee, which is
brought to your seat, raising your expectations!
Even though this bread de mi does not
contain honey or fresh cream, it has a chewy texture and a rich sweetness that
is different from the high-end white breads on the street!
The coffee is also hand-dripped with
carefully roasted beans at the shop, so it has an outstanding aroma and a
slightly sour taste that I like!
The counter is lined with delicious-looking
breads such as croissants and seasonal vegetables.
Many customers come to the store just in
time for the bread de mi and baguettes to be baked.
If I lived in this neighborhood, I would
come here every day.
It was such a wonderful shop!
池田山は
また
中心です。
しかし、少し離れた桜田通り沿いや、目黒川沿いには高層マンションが続々と建てられ、物件も豊富です。

Ikedayama is
Despite being conveniently located within
walking distance from Gotanda Station on the Yamanote Line, it is a valuable
area where you can enjoy a living environment rich in nature.
Also
Ikedayama is a category 1 exclusive
low-rise residential district, so low-rise condominiums up to three stories
high and single-family homes in spacious sections are the main focus.
However, high-rise condominiums are being
built one after another along Sakurada Street and along the Meguro River, which
is a little further away, and there are plenty of properties.
